That was what I told my friends for the last time we met during the week. It seems like a long time, but in a way too its true, uni only reopens on the 4th of January! 2 weeks of Christmas and New Year break.
I had a very hectic week this week, 4 weeks of lab work combined into a week, with Algebra and Electrical test trying to kill me as well. Had an average of 4 hours sleep a day, finally blacking out on Wednesday night and woke up the other morning with no recollection of me going to bed at all. It's like my brain shut down itself and collapsed my body on the bed. The lights and computer were still turned on, and I was half-an-hour late for my labs that morning.
Well I can't blame everything on uni work... I was juggling between them and some new computer games! Daniel gave me heaps of new games e.g. modern warfare 2, borderlands, bioshock, etc. Finished mw2's campaign in one night, and spent 20 hours in total on borderlands(not even 50% complete on story). Thing is borderlands is so freaking addictive! I highly recommend this game for rpg and fps gamers.
Besides that, Allen sent me an early Christmas present from Singapore:
Allen is actually one of the closest friends I met from playing in Garena. Somehow when L4D2 launched, many L4D gamers started to convert and I was left out because of the strict internet censorship in Australia. No matter now... thanks to Allen! x)
Back home I don't celebrate Christmas, but now I'm slowly learning more about the Christmas culture here. And for those who obviously failed geography back in high school(haha.. xP), Australia doesn't snow during the Christmas season. Why? Because it's in the south hemisphere of earth, hence instead of having winter, we will have blazing hot summer for Christmas. Winter falls on the mid year, and AGAIN, Sydney is not cold enough to have snow. I think it is a blessing in disguise, as snow just annoys the shit out of people by forcing people to hibernate indoors.
My Aussie housemate Jonathan made a demo Christmas feast too yesterday, and hell, its bloody GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! Just by looking at it made me drool all over again.
Hopefully I blog again sometime soon if not being engrossed with my new game collection 24/7.
