I have just done my Computing exam today. I find practical exams so much fun actually, because I get to compile the codes and run them. If it couldn't compile, at least I know I'm screwed. Haha.
Spent almost an hour just to debug a segmentation fault in one of the questions. It made me realize one thing: Complications in life are just like segmentation faults. You can compile the code without any problems, but when a "segmentation fault" appears while running the code, you know you are screwed because there will not be any indications to tell you what went wrong. Just like in life, there aren't real angels out there to tell you what to do when something went wrong. You just have to take a step back and reflect on the things you have done in the past, then only you can move on.
COMP1911 is officially my favourite first semester subject. Although it has so much work, I learnt a lot. I even thought of switching to Computer Engineering for my degree, but decided against it because it might be harder than I thought. Well at least I still have another semester of computing before going hardcore for Electrical subjects in year 3 and 4.
One more paper to go!
