My pair of sportapros arrived today!
Weeks ago I was thinking about getting a new pair of new headphones because I got bored of the one I am currently having:
I bought these 3 years ago, wanted something that could muffle ambient noises in the background. Back then I did not find the need to search online for reviews before buying something, hence I was rather wasteful for spending rm99 on these bad headphones. Well definitely the build quality is there, given that it lasted for almost 3 years, but the bass was really weak. Before I bought them, I own a pair of headphones that came bundled with my Creative Muvo mp3 player. Those were very good, too bad they broke.
I got my SportaPros from a great deal on ebay. It just costs $30 with shipping, and comes with lifetime warranty (I thought only Eastpak offers such service). The sound quality was really rich and full. Personally I prefer bassy music like pop or techno. When I tried listening with the sportapro, I can literally feel my head thudding with the beats. It is exactly what I wanted to feel from a good pair of headphones.
However the sportapros does not do a good job in isolating the ear. I can still hear ambient background noises, likewise people nearby can hear what I am listening to. Initially I wanted to find a good close-ear headphones like the Sennheiser 280, but they were too expensive, so the Sportapro will do for now.
If you are wondering how good are your headphones or speakers, try listening to this:
I totally hear nothing in the sweet 50-60Hz range with Sony. But with Koss, my head was vibrating like mad. Try the beat with subwoofers! I bet your computer table will shake and windows will break. xD
A new companion when I walk to Uni! <3
