That's the number of days till I go home! Halfway there... more to go...

First let me explain why I can't come back for cny. It was the initial plan, I even got the tickets in August, looked forward to it until one day a friend told me that we need to do summer school. Summer school is catered for students who decided to speed up their university studies, and also for students who failed a subject to retake it in order to not interfere with their normal semesters. My case however, can be explained in this way:

I'm suppose to take

Math 1A (semester2 2009) -> Math 1B (summer school 2009) -> 2nd year courses (semester1 2010)

Unfortunately, if I choose not to do Math 1B in summer school, I can't qualify for 2nd year courses. The next Math 1B subject only offers in semester2 2010, which further pushes my 2nd year courses to 2011.

Long story short: I can't skip summer school. It is really not because of me wanting to speed up my degree, but rather I have no choice. So my supposely 3.5 months of summer holidays gone instantly, even for the following year. TWO YEARS OF SUMMER SCHOOL!

Changing the flight dates annoyed the shit out of me. Not only I have to worry about the dates to fly back (major dilemma between flying back on the right holiday dates and maximizing my precious time back in Malaysia), I was smacked with hefty "fines" from the bloody airline companies. At first my air tickets just cost me roughly RM1.4k, but after the inevitable change, I spent a total of 2.8k just to fly home. I SWEAR NO MORE AIRASIA FOR ME! (unless they start flying to Sydney soon =P)

So I will spend two of my favourite dates alone in Sydney - CNY and my birthday. Dx
