Farewell

The events during agm were spontaneous for me. I didn’t speak according to the speech I prepared earlier; there was an unplanned performance by MoonLee (which was nice), the new ajk list, the surprise retirement card and many minor ones. Then we went to Mid Valley in a huge gang to watch Hancock. I thought the show was just a decent flick with a simple plot. And an SOB made me see nuts from my seat. =.=

Later that night we had a retirement dinner at TGI’s in Subang Parade. Zk and ah Mat were late due to some “reasons”, and we surprised Zk and Bw with some birthday ritual from the workers of TGI. I bet Sarah will post up the lengthy video soon, which featured a nursery song sung by the birthday pairs. LOL!

Then we went foosing at AC. The yellow team trashed the blacks big time laa. And who handled the yellow team?? =D

Oh, I really have to thank these people:
LEE KE XIN
TEH WEN XING
PANG YEE JEAT
LEE YEE MIN
KOK WEI MIEN

Cause they made me a HUGE retirement card!! Honestly I’ve never received a bigger gift than it in my life. I liked the meaningful sentence behind: “The end is just the start or everything.” I heard LAI VINC YUEE was also involved in the photos right. Thank you too buddy!

To the new elected AJKs, all the best for the long year ahead! Like I’ve said, I have faith in you people bringing QM to the next level. Remember, teamwork is power!

***********************************************

It felt like a short year isn’t it. I still remember the last agm Zk and me were forced by Dek Ric to give a speech. We weren’t ready at all, but I remembered I said this to the present batch: “ No matter what criticisms you get, don’t feel intimidated. Instead accept the constructive ones and use them to motivate yourself.”

Alright, maybe it didn’t sound that good that time. Haha. I just reconstructed the entire thing to make this post look nice. BUT I really did say something like that then okay. Lol. Well before we know it, we had loads of meetings for the then coming school camp. The camp was a blast, but we still had a pain in the ass, a.k.a. Pn Tiong. Still remember her antics? LOL.

After the camp we had the most unforgettable Tapah-Pangkor trip. Countless events happened during the trip, most notably ah Mat’s courtship and the jetski! We can never forget the night when we all wet our eyes after some misunderstanding. I was rather impressed by the confrontational skills of Mr Lim. I’ve became closer to everyone in the club after the trip. It felt great!

In the same month a christian organization – fga had sports day and David invited me, Vinc Yuee, Sarah and Bi Wei to referee the events. Remember how our skin became charcoal after that day? We even complained about the meager sum we earned that day were not enough to even buy lotions for our skin. LOL. However I grew really close to the three of them after that day. I found them really fun to be with. =)
Then there was merentas desa. We played PSPs overnight and Vinc Yuee had bananas overnight. lol. He got a medal thanks to the bananas I think. Only minor problems occurred, and the merentas desa was a success.

In between we had interviews and countless meetings before the start of Sukan Tara. Sukan Saringan followed and finally Hari Sukan. Some dubbed the sports season, but for us QMs, it is the “ponteng” season. Imagine 5 days a week underneath the hot sun working instead of being in class for lessons. But it was the last time I’m going to work in the field. I don’t know how to describe, but the feeling of authority and professionalism in the field will be something each and every one of us will miss in our lifetime. The teamwork, the laughters, the smell of sun lotion… will etch in our minds for the years to come. Yes, we were emo too just like how we felt now during the end of sports day.

The next month we celebrated Vinc Yuee’s birthday with a creamy surprise in the QM room, had a LONG day during QM Gathering the week after, and finally AGM, which was yesterday.

It was emotional yesterday. Although being in QM for 7 years, I’ve never felt happier in the club than the last 12 months. Thank you all QM members for making everything happen. The sweet memories I had will indeed stay with me till the end. Although I hoped it wouldn’t end so fast, but it’s inevitable that all good things must come to an end. Friendships however, will not end. We will create more good memories in the future shall we?

Till then, I’ve made this long post to immortalize the memories we had made so far. I will definitely miss the times.

GO QM!!!
