Boys toys

Girls have their Barbie dolls, I've known some girls who actually collected Barbie dolls when they were young, only to find no whatsoever value for it when they've grown up. Then you'd see lots of naked figurines either donated for charity or packed in garbage bags ready for disposal.

We boys however, play a different game altogether. You may call us "daogei" for still buying toys even at older ages, but the toys we buy today will multiply its value for the years to come. In other words, when we buy toys, we are investing our money.

Hard to believe? I'd tell you my real life experience. Back when I was about standard 3 or 4, I saw this figurine in a store in Mid Valley.

Metal Gear Solid was the best game of Playstation that time. Being a video game junkie myself, seeing this figurine made my heart leap. If I wasn't wrong, the figurine costed about 50+ then, and I vowed to buy it by saving. When I went back to the shop a few months later, the figurine was sold and was it a blow for me.

Few years later when I was gadget hunting in some shopping mall, I saw the exact figurine again. The price tag? RM500. It was just a toy. Not gold.

I found this gem 2 years ago.

Planning to sell it on eBay 5 years later. See how much will it fetch. *crossing fingers*

The limited edition Metal Gear Solid 4 Package:

A beauty ain't it? I've heard this is extremely rare. If I find it, I wouldn't let it go for sure. =X

So this is it. A post for one of my many obsessions. lol.
